What do you need

You can use Skype via your smartphone, smart-pad or computer, as long as you have a camera, speakers and microphone installed. Fortunately, this is now standard on most devices. In addition, the Skype application must be installed on your device of choice. You can directly download this here. Make sure you have a good Internet connection and your operating system is updated before you install the latest Skype version.

You can find more information on installation here.

Would you like to make an appointment for a Skype call? Make sure that we can find you by creating your own Skype-account and fill in your chosen Skype name in the form below.

Application tips

In a Skype intake interview, the same tips as for a regular interview apply. Make sure you are well prepared and appropriately dressed. There are a few things you should consider. They will increase your chances when applying via Skype.
  1. The correct Skype profile
  2. Choose a clear profile name and profile picture, and fill out your profile as completely as possible.

  3. Dress to impress
  4. Dress as you would actually go to this job interview.

  5. Optimal connection
  6. Make sure you sit in a place where the network is optimal. Can you trust your wi-fi? Try a connected network for better quality.

  7. Clearly visible
  8. Make sure you have a quiet and uncluttered background without distracting elements. Preferably use a PC or laptop ensuring that the camera is at eye level, so that you are sitting right in front of the camera.

  9. Testing testing...
  10. Test the screen and sound with a friend that has a Skype account as well. Unsure of the sound; use a headset. Environment/ambient noises can cause distractions during the interview.

  11. Everything within reach
  12. Place a notepad or piece of paper with questions or talking points and a pen at hand. You can have a glass of water to moisten your throat.

  13. Focus
  14. Be on time, sit in front of your screen with the notes you would like to discuss. Put your phone on silent, close unnecessary programs and ask others around you to not disturb you.

Please note: check immediately after the call that you were actually disconnected before you jump for joy!
Good luck.
